A special edition Tesla Roadster is taking part an eight-month, 24,000-mile around the world challenge.
The car in question is the Tag Heuer special edition model, which was launched at the Geneva motor show earlier this month.
The challenge started yesterday at an event in Basle and will commence in Paris after the car has visited 15 major cities and more than 150 smaller towns worldwide.
The car will visit three continents en route to Paris and will be recharged at hotels, garages and car parks along its route. Cities it will visit include Delhi, Beijing, London, Los Angeles and Warsaw.
