Eco VW Polo emits 91g/km

The Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion has gone on sale, with official CO2 emissions rated at 91g/km.
Powered by a 75bhp 1.2 litre turbo diesel engine, with 133lb ft of torque, it achieves its official average of 80.7mpg thanks to longer gearing on the Polo’s five speed gear box, regenerative braking and an automatic start-stop system.
Its emissions rating means the car is free to tax and puts it in the lowest company car tax band of 13 per cent.
It travels from 0-62mph in 13.9sec and has a top speed of 107mph.
Prices start from £14,445.
Of all the conventionally engined cars on sale in the UK at the moment only the Smart Fortwo diesel is rated as emitting less CO2.
