Fiat workers went on strike yesterday in protest at plans to shut a plant on Sicily.

Workers across Italy walked out for four hours.

Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne says Fiat is closing the plant in Sicily because it is losing money on every car it makes there.

Fiat has offered to move Panda production to Pomigliano, Italy, from Poland, in return for shutting Termini.

Unions are set to meet with Italian Industry Minister Claudio Scajola to discuss the planned closure on Friday.
