GM capitalises on Toyota recalls

GM has announced a month-long campaign to lure Toyota and Lexus customers into buying its cars in the US.
The offer, which coincides with Toyota issuing a series of recalls around the world, applies to GMCs, Buicks, Cadillacs and Chevrolets.
Buyers can choose from three discount options.
- Lease buyers can waive three payments up to a total of $1000.
- Finance buyers can get a zero per cent finance rate for 60 months.
- Cash buyers will get a $1000 discount.
A GM spokesman said the offer was aimed at compensating Toyota and Lexus owners for the depreciation the recall has caused.
