Skoda Octavia gets 7spd DSG

Skoda has added VW Group’s seven-speed gearbox to the Octavia range.
The 105bhp 1.2-litre TSI engine, which first saw service for Skoda in the Yeti, has also been made available in the Octavia for the first time. It can be mated to either a six-speed manual or the seven-speed DSG gearbox.
The engine, available in both hatchback and estate models, helps the Octavia hatchback achieve, combined fuel economy of 49.6mpg, CO2 emissions of 134g/km and can get it from 0-62mph in 10.8sec.
The Octavia’s 105bhp 1.6-litre TDI engine is also now available with the seven-speed DSG gearbox. When equipped with DSG, the model has CO2 emissions of 123g/km.
Prices start from £12,935 for the Skoda Octavia 1.2 TSI hatchback with the manual gearbox. The DSG is an £1130 cost option with this engine.
The Skoda Octavia 1.6 TDI hatchback with seven-speed DSG costs from £16,495.
