The Mercedes SLS has gone on sale in Germany today priced at 177,310 euros (£159,000).
“Following a high-profile world premiere at the IAA, we are very excited about the SLS AMG’s commercial release,” said Volker Mornhinweg, chairman of the company’s management board.
“There is huge interest in our new super sports car and we are convinced that the SLS AMG will captivate our customers.”
As well as pricing for the car Mercedes has revealed the cost of a number of options for the vehicle.
An AMG performance suspension with stiffer set-up will cost 1200 euros (£1000) and carbon ceramic brakes will be 11,305 euros (£10,137).
