Sir Jackie Stewart’s eldest son has recorded a charity single as a 70th birthday present to his father.

Paul Stewart recorded the single Fly Free with family friend Eric Clapton on the guitar and it will be released on 15 November.

All money raised will be donated to Formula One’s chosen charity, The Grand Prix Mechanics’ Charitable Trust.

Paul Stewart sung the song to his father as a surprise 70th birthday present and Sir Jackie was so impressed that he wanted to share it with a wider audience.

His younger son Mark also produced a film of the song and it was played to Sir Jackie on the night. The film will be available to download alongside the song when they’re both released.
