Autocar has gone behind the scenes at McLaren's Technology Centre in Woking to see what it takes to build a successful Formula One team.
As well as designing, engineering and developing its multi-million pound racers, the centre also hosts some of the firm's historic race cars and the production line for the McLaren-Mercedes SLR.

The trip, which was organised by McLaren's technology partner Mobil 1, gave us the chance to look through our archives to bring you hi-res pictures of some of McLaren's most iconic race cars, as well as the McLaren F1 and new McLaren MP4-12C.
Also in the gallery are captioned pictures of the Technology Centre itself and an inisight into how the team prepare for a race.
