This is the Renault Fluence ZE electric car, which has been launched at the Frankfurt motor show.

The electric Fluence will be trialled in Israel as part of a tie-in with Project Better Place, which is developing electric car charging systems.

If the tests are successful, the Fluence electric car is expected to go on sale in Europe in 2011.

Renault has three other electric cars on display in Frankfurt, plus three electric car charging systems.

The charging systems are it’s high-powered, quick-charge plug-in system, an overnight, home-based plug-in system and its automated ‘Quick Drop’ system, which can remove and replace a battery in three minutes.
