Renault has revealed the electric version of its Fluence saloon in concept form. It is one of the manufacturer’s four electric concepts at the Frankfurt show which preview a future zero-emissions range.
All the production cars will be branded Renault ZE (zero emissions). The Fluence ZE, which is based on the Megane, is a key model in the range.

The five-seat Fluence ZE will go on sale in 2011, when the UK government is making grants of up to £5k available to EV buyers.
The car boasts low-resistance tyres and is powered by a 95bhp electric motor and a lithium ion battery, with a range of 100 miles.
The battery can be charged using one of three methods: a standard charge of between four and eight hours, a quick charge of 20 minutes, or a three-minute battery swap using the 'Quickdrop' system.
The car’s 21-inch wheels have blue hubcaps to create a spiral, channelling the air and improving aerodynamics.
The Fluence will be the first Renault electric car to be introduced in 2011 and will be available in Europe and Israel.
