Seat extends Ecomotive range

10 September 2009

Seat has extended its Ecomotive range with the addition of Altea, Altea XL and Leon models.

All three models feature a common-rail 104bhp 1.6-litre TDI engine and a new diesel particulate filter to improve fuel consumption and lower emissions. Stop-start technology also features in all three models.

The Altea and Altea XL have CO2 emissions of 119g/km, while the Leon manages 99g/km. This is a 20g/km improvement over the model it replaces. Low resistance tyres are fitted to all models, as is a gear change indicator.

Official performance and fuel consumption figures have yet to be confirmed, but expect them to be announced when the three models are launched at the Frankfurt motor show next week.
