SAIC may take Saab stake
08 September 2009
SAIC Motor group, China’s largest car manufacturer, is said to be considering taking a stake in Saab Automobile in partnership with Koenigsegg.
The report, published by the Reuters news agency, says that no decision has been taken on the size of any investment.
However, Koenigsegg is known to be looking to plug a three billion Swedish crown shortfall (£254m) in its financing for the purchase of Saab.
SAIC has refused to comment.
