New pictures: Tesla Model S

Tesla has launched official photos of its Model S saloon undergoing testing in America.
The car pictured shows the Tesla Model S doing laps around a circuit with the car’s chief designer, Franz Von Holzhausen, behind the wheel.

Tesla claims it has already received more than 1000 order for its seven-seat, all-electric saloon and it will go on sale in 2011.
The US firm claim the Model S will have a range of around three hours and be capable of 0-60mph in 5.6secs. Its top speed will be limited to 130mph, but recharging times have yet to be released by Tesla.
Prices will starts at around £40,000.
