SsangYong union leaders have agreed to talks with the ailing manufacturer’s management in a bid to resolve their ongoing dispute.

Around 1000 disgruntled SsangYong employees, who were made redundant as part of the firm’s restructuring process, have occupied the firm’s Korean factory for the past 10 weeks.

Police commandos earlier overran the factory, bringing an end to the pitched battle fought against the militant strikers.
