The SV Motor Company has released official pictures of its limited-edition SV 9 Competizione supercar.

Based on the Corvette C6, the SV 9 mixes Italian design and American muscle car power and it uses Corvette's LS3 V8 engine, which has been tuned to produce 444bhp and 445lb ft of torque. It can get from 0-60mph in a claimed four seconds.

SV 9 Competizione launched

SV has fitted sports suspension, a high-performance braking system and Pirelli P-Zero Rosso Ultra tyres, as well as a revised air intake and a custom-tuned ANSA exhaust, which is modelled on the one found on the Ferrari 599 GTB.

Inside, the car gets carbonfibre seats, Italian leather upholstery, and burlwood or carbonfibre trim.

Production will be limited to just 1000 units and the SV 9 will cost $99,995 (£61,000) in the US when it goes on sale later this year.
