E-type Speedster relaunched

Eagle has launched official pictures of its handbuilt Jaguar E-type Speedster, which was launched at last week’s Salon Prive motor show.
The East Sussex-based firm was formed in 1982 and it claims to be a restorer of cars rather than a replica builder. Its E-type Speedster has been built as a one-off with “no time or budget considerations". The firm claims that it has exploited "a unique chance to create an extraordinary motor car”.

It remains faithful to the Jaguar E-type of the 1960s with classic detail and finishing, including the Eagle 4.7-litre engine, a five-speed gearbox and optimised suspension.
Every element of the car has been designed and built by hand, including the windscreen, aluminium body, and aluminium multi-spoke alloy wheels.
The car produces 340lb ft of torque, although other power and performance figures have not been released. It weighs less than 1100kg.
Eagle has not confirmed whether it plans to build any more E-type Speedsters.
