Aircraft-inspired Ford Mustang

An aviation-inspired one-off Ford Mustang AV-X10 is to be auctioned off for charity.
The Mustang, nicknamed Dearborn Doll, is being sold to raise money the EAA Young Eagles charity, which offers under-17s a chance to fly aircraft.

Inspired by a World War Two-era P-51 Mustang aircraft, the car is based on a 2010 Mustang GT with a glass roof. Ford Racing supplied the exhaust, handling package and supercharger on this car and it sits an inch lower than the standard Mustang. Power comes from a 543bhp 4.6-litre 24-valve aluminium engine.
The Dearborn Doll is painted in Satin Silver, while a yellow nose and rear wing also feature. The alloy wheels are Shelby's 19-inch models, as seen on the GT500. The wheels are painted in liquid silver, with the tips in yellow, to give a propeller effect.
Inside, there is a Bader leather interior with a worn look, diamond-tucked seat and door inserts, and a unique instrument cluster. Embedded in the roof is the US Air Force Star and Bar logo, while the Dearborn Dolly pin-up girl is painted on the side.
The auction takes place on 30 July at an airshow in America.
