The new Reiter Lamborghini LP560 GT3 racer has tested in public for the first time.

The Lamborghini LP560 GT3 is built to new GT3 regulations, and is based on the production Lamborghini LP560-4.

However, it is powered by a 562bhp 5.2-litre V10, and weighs just 1190kg, thanks to a lightweight aluminium spaceframe and carbonfibre bodywork. Weight distribution is 43:53 front to rear.

Reiter's technicians estimate that it is eight per cent more aerodynamically efficient than the current LP560-based GT racer.

The race car is available to customers for €265,000 (£230,000), and can be converted to more potent GT2 specification for an additional €30,000 (£26,000).

Three cars have already been sold.
