German tuner MR Car Design is the latest company to launch an uprated Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk6.
Like rival company Abt Sportline, MR has boosted the GTI’s 208bhp output to 256bhp, while torque is boosted from 206lb ft to 280lb ft.

These performance tweaks and a new sports exhaust have reduced the GTI’s 0-62mph time to 5.8sec and it will go on to reach 163mph.
MR has lowered the suspension by 50mm at the front and 40mm at the rear, while new 19-inch alloy wheels with 225/35 R19 tyres have been specified. A high-performance braking system is also fitted.
