This means it could be the most economical Porsche for some time and there is even talk of four-cylinder engines and forced induction being added to the line-up. The turbocharged engine is likely to offer just over 200bhp.
According to reports the new Boxster is scheduled to be unveiled at the 2011 Geneva motor show.
