The chance for your innovative ideas to be showcased to the industry

In association with:7799105349Every now and then a revolution takes place that changes the automotive landscape forever – an idea so innovative that it has a fundamental effect on the way cars are designed, built and used from that point on.

Autocar and Courland – the automotive people specialists – are setting out to uncover the next automotive revolution by creating the Autocar-Courland Next Generation Award. Students in further education are invited to put forward entries for this important new award, the winner of which will receive a cash prize of £6000 and four weeks' work experience with each partner: Ford, Harley-Davidson, Honda and Marshall Motor Group. It’s a unique chance to launch an automotive career.

Six shortlisted entrants will be invited to spend a day with senior decision makers from each of the brands involved and to present their ideas in a boardroom situation which will be filmed.The three finalists will be invited to attend the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders’ prestigious annual dinner, where the winner will be announced.

Please note the terms and conditions regarding entry eligibility have now been clarified, and that all students in tertiary education may enter.

The question:

Where do you think the next automotive industry revolution will start and what will it deliver?Examples could focus on any aspect of the automotive, industry including technology, politics, production processes, financial incentives, a combination of these or something entirely different.

Entries should be no more than 600 words long and written in English. They should also include images or illustrations, if relevant.

Entries should be sent to autocaraward@courland.com no later than 23 October 2009.
