Tata's Nano lottery results for who will receive the first cars have been announced, and the first 100,000 successful applicants should all receive their car by the end of 2010.
Telegraph India has said that the firm received 206,000 orders for the £1700 car, and the first Nanos should be delivered next month.

Due to large scale interest in the car, Tata had to hold a lottery to ensure everyone got a fair chance of acquiring a Nano.
Around 51,000 of the original applicants have decided not to be considered for future Nano lotteries, while the 55,000 who remain interested will also get discounts on other Tata products.
Tata will be informing the successful applicants “in person” in the coming days.
