A 1936 Bugatti Type 57C that used to belong to Ettore Bugatti himself will be sold at auction this August.

The historic car has been used only sparingly since Bugatti’s death in 1947, although it has been treated to upgrades and developments by Bugatti staff over time, amaking it unique.

Some of these changes include having the EB logo engraved on the wheel hubs, rear bumper and steering wheel. The one-off coachwork is believed to be the last penned by Bugatti's son, Jean, before his death.

The car will be sold without a reserve price at the high-profile Concours d'Elegance event in Pebble Beach on 15/16 August. American Auction house Gooding and Company is handling the sale.
