Chrysler factories to restart

The restructured Chrysler is planning to re-open most of its factories by the end of June.
However, final plans for a timetable of reopenings will not be made until the Fiat-led company emerges from bankruptcy on Friday.
"The majority of plants will come up last week of June," said Steven Landry, executive vice president of North America sales.
Chrysler's factories shut down shortly after Chrysler filed for bankruptcy on 30 April.
Current inventory records show Chrysler dealers still have 260,407 unsold vehicles, which equates to about an 86-day supply.
Figures show Chrysler's 789 rejected dealers were holding 42,000 vehicles in stock when Chrysler started its redistribution process on May 18. Customers have since bought 16,000 of those, and surviving Chrysler dealers have committed to taking another 23,000.
Chrysler sales fell 47 per cent during May. Landry blamed the collapse on the company's fleet sales, which were 91 per cent down compared to a year ago.
