Luxury car dealerships in London have stepped up security at their premises, fearing attacks by protesters during the G20 Summit.

The Metropolitan Police have rolled out a massive security operation for the summit of world leaders, in preparation for mass demonstrations around central London.

In the past protesters at anti-government have targetted luxury car dealerships.

As a result, luxury car dealer HR Owen, which has Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini and Maserati dealerships, is taking action.

"We have taken a number of precautions last weekend and will do the same in the coming week," said HR Owen chief executive Nick Lancaster.

This includes removing cars from premises and boarding up premises.

Lancaster added that he absolute faith in the police's security arrangements.
