Saturn brand 'saved'

Saturn will continue making cars after a split from General Motors, according to one of its main dealers.
Todd Ingersoll, a Saturn dealership owner and leader of Saturn’s Franchise Operations Team task force, which has looked at ways to separate the brand away for GM, said the new long-term deal would be announced within three weeks.
Ingersoll said: “Saturn is a brand that is beloved by consumers and we wanted to find another company that sees value in the brand. We think we’ve done it.”
The task force was set up after GM announced in December it would only focus on its Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC and Buick brands.
Ingersoll declined to say who the new partner was and whether it was purchasing Saturn outright or providing it with future vehicles.
He confirmed that Saturn will now enter a transition period over the next two years, where it will go from selling GM-produced vehicles to ones produced by its new partner.
