Ferrari’s former CEO, Jean Todt, has left the company after 16 years, resigning from the board at today’s Ferrari stockholders meeting.

Todt stood down from his position as CEO last year, but has remained a board member and was still involved in the firm’s motorsport activities, especially Formula One.

“Jean Todt has been one of the leading protagonists of the Ferrari story of the last 15 years,” said Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo. “I would like to wish him the very best for the future which I hope will prove extremely satisfying both personally and professionally.”
