Hyundai i20 loses two doors

19 February 2009

This is the first picture of the three-door version of the Hyundai i20 supermini, released by the company today ahead of its debut at the Geneva motor show on 3 March.

The three-door will become the cheapest Hyundai i20. The entry-level 1.2 Classic costs £8195, £450 less than the equivalent five-door version.

Aside from the price advantage, the three-door Hyundai i20 is also 10kg lighter than the five-door. But it will be built on the same wheelbase, so Hyundai claims that there is an equal amount of rear interior space in both versions.

The new i20 car arrives alongside the five-door version in UK showrooms this April.
