Ford has swept the board at the annual What Car? awards, triumphing in four categories, including Car of The Year.

The Ford Fiesta was named Car of The Year for the second time, having won the award in 1989. It also scooped the award for best supermini for the 1.25i Zetec model, and the 2.0-litre TDCi Zetec-engined Mondeo won best family car and best estate car.

Last year’s Car of the Year, the Jaguar XF, was named best executive car for the second year running, and Mini retained its title as the best hot hatch, securing the award for the third successive time.
