Suzuki Kizashi not dead

The new Suzuki Kizashi mid-sized saloon has been postponed for sale in the UK and Europe ‘for the foreseeable future,’ but will go into production.
Earlier this week reports from Japan suggested the new car had been canned, but Suzuki has said it will still be launched at this year’s New York motor show in April.
But the Suzuki Kizashi will not be coming to the UK and Europe for its original launch date of spring 2010 and, although a Suzuki spokesman said the firm hoped to introduce the Kizashi to the UK at some point, he did not know when.
Instead Suzuki will concentrate on launching the Kizashi in its key markets of Russia and the USA, although plans to equip the Kizashi with four-wheel drive and a 3.6-litre V8 may be changed. The proposed estate version is also in doubt.
