Skoda Octavia goes VAT free

01 December 2008

Skoda has scrapped VAT on its new Octavia in an effort to bring buyers to showrooms in the run up to Christmas.

The entire Skoda Octavia line-up - including the vRS and four-wheel-drive Scout – will be available with VAT-free price until December 31.

“As car buyers scour the market in search of great deals we are responding to their needs and covering the cost of VAT on any Octavia purchased in December,” commented Rob Hazlewood, Skoda UK’s brand director.

The cost of VAT on options and delivery prices will also be covered by Skoda, so savings of up to £3000 are possible on new range-topping Octavias.

Since 2004, when the current Octavia was launched, Skoda has sold 140,000 examples in the UK.
