The new Mazda 3 will go on sale in spring next year, while the very similar Euro-friendly hatchback version will make its debut at the Bologna show in December.
The Lexus RX450h is powered by a hybrid petrol-electric drivetrain that features a 295bhp petrol unit driving the front wheels, with non-permanent four-wheel-drive and regenerative braking to help save fuel. It will replace both the existing RX400h hybrid and the RX350 when it goes on sale in the UK.
The new BMW Mini E has a 201bhp (150kw) electric motor and batteries instead of the standard four-cylinder engine. Currently available to the select few via leasing, it's regarded as a major step towards a full-production electric Mini.
