Mondeo rival photographed virtually undisguised

Our spy photographers have captured the best pictures yet of the new Suzuki Kizashi.

The images show that the production version of the forthcoming Mondeo-rival will keep many of the styling cues shown by the recent Kizashi 3 concept car.

However, the finished car loses the concept's low roofline in favour of a more conservative and practical appearance.

Engines, pricing and spec will be confirmed nearer to the car's arrival in the UK in 2010, with Suzuki's 3.5-litre V6 unit likely to be fitted to range-toppers while petrol and diesel four-cylinder motors make up the bulk of the range.

The Kizashi is a new departure for Suzuki, the brand having become associated with smaller cars and SUVs. The Kizashi will face some very serious competition in the large family car segment, so anticipate competitive pricing when it goes on sale - from around £15,000 to £23,000.
