Goodwood Festival dates

16 October 2008

The 2009 Goodwood Festival dates have been provisionally confirmed by patron Lord March.

The Festival of Speed will take place from 3 to 5 July, with the classic Goodwood Revival running from 18 to 20 September.

Both are popular events. The FoS pulled in 142,000 people this year with its ‘Hawthorn to Hamilton’ Formula One theme and the Revival also attracted 124,000 people to the Chichester-based Goodwood grounds.

Festival organisers have not yet confirmed a theme, but those familiar with the event can expect the same broad array of modern and classic cars from road, track and rally.

The Revival will stick with its tried-and-tested format, with people being encouraged to dress in period costume in keeping with the classic cars and planes that the event focuses on.

Entry tickets must be bought in advance from the official Goodwood tickets office.
