Maserati has released pictures of the most extreme version of the GranTurismo coupe yet – the MC Corse Concept.
Basically a race-ready version of the GranTurismo S, it gets an upgraded engine, competition spec catalysts and slick tyres. Aerodynamic tweaks include a new front splitter and an aggressive rear diffuser.
Brakes have also been uprated, and an FIA-spec rollcage rounds things off.
Maserati hasn’t announced any plans to produce the MC Corse, but it’s a fair bet that something that looks very similar will end up on a racetrack.
The company is considering entering it in the FIA GT Championship, or even creating a one-make series around it.
