Renault has confirmed UK pricing for the new Megane hatch ahead of its launch later this year. The entry level 1.6-litre petrol 3dr Expression will cost £13,995 and at the other end of the range the 1.9 dCi 130 Privilege 5dr is £18,795 – although forthcoming RenaultSport versions will top that.
The new Megane is more expensive than the outgoing model, although it also boasts more standard spec, but it remains competitively priced against rivals like the Ford Focus 1.6 Style (£14,495).
All versions get aircon, six airbags and four electric windows. Dynamic spec adds alloy wheels, automatic lights and wipers and Bluetooth connectivity, while the range-topping Privilege gets dual-zone climate control and parking sensors.
The Megane can be ordered from 2 October with the first cars delivered in late November. A Megane coupe will join the range next January.
