The Ferrari California has completed its development testing at the hands of seven-time Formula One champion Michael Schumacher.

The California uses the company’s flat crankshaft 4.3-litre V8, which puts out 453bhp and propels the car to 62mph in under 4.0sec.

Schumacher, who still conducts testing and ambassadorial work for Ferrari, said, “Although the California is very much a grand tourer in terms of usability and a high level of interior comfort, it is still surprisingly sporty and fun to drive under any kind of conditions.”

No prices have been confirmed yet, but expect the California to cost around £130,000. The official figure will be announced nearer to the car’s Paris show debut in October.
