24 June 2008

Alfa has slashed the prices of its GT coupe. A new Cloverleaf editionwill hit the showrooms in July with a range-topping model boasting an uprated, 170bhp version of the 1.9JTDm engine complete with Q2 limited slip diff.

Despite a 20bhp power upgrade and extensive standard kit, the most expensive Cloverleaf comes in at a just £21,980 – a saving of £2125 over the previous range-topping diesel.

A 1.8-litre petrol engine previously available in the GT Blackline powers the entry-level Cloverleaf at £18,890 - £1515 less than the 2.0 JTS that previously sat at the bottom of the range.

Other Cloverleaf models include a 2.0-litre petrol, which will set you back £19,980, with the less powerful 150bhp 1.9JTDm costing £20,980.

Standard equipment for the Cloverleaf GT includes 18-inch alloys, red brake callipers, leather sports seats, BOSE sound system, air conditioning and rear parking sensors.
