The first Alfa 8C Competizione supercar has arrived in the UK. Just 41 of the £138,500 hand-built 8Cs, which have a 450bhp Ferrari-sourced engine and 0- 60mph of 4.2 seconds, are destined for the UK market.
The 8C’s owner, Manchester architect Ian Simpson, signed up for the car back in 2003 when it was unveiled as a concept at the Geneva Show. “It’s truly worth the wait,” he said. “It’s everything a supercar should be. It’s unmistakably beautiful, it has a distinct engine note and the high-performance credentials place it firmly alongside the most exotic cars on the planet.”
