This is the facelifted, 2008-model year Aston Martin DB9. No, really.
The 6.0-litre V12 receives a power upgrade of 20bhp, taking it to 470bhp, with torque remaining the same at 420lb ft. The touchtronic gearbox has also been tweaked to give faster shifts, and a 0-60mph time of 4.6sec – an improvement of 0.8sec.
Even the suspension has been upgraded, getting Bilstein dampers, new bushes and different arms to improve the car’s handling and agility
The open top DB9 Volante also gets a refresh for 2008, having its front shear panel revised in order to increase body stiffness by 10 per cent.
Exterior and interior changes are limited to new 19-inch wheels, a new grille, a zinc centre console and the introduction of the glass and steel Emotional Control Unit used on the DBS; effectively a keyless start.
Prices have been revamped, too, rising to £113,950 for the Coupe and £122,950 for the Volante. An increase of £3010 over the pre-facelift models.
