Marriages between premium car manufacturer and premium stereo system specialists are nothing new: BMW teamed-up with Harman/Kardon, Audi uses Bose and Bang and Olufsen, and Lexus goes to Mark Levinson. Now Bentley has joined the party, having signed up with a British firm called Naim Audio. In doing so, it’s creating what it claims is the most powerful in-car stereo in series production.
Called ‘Naim for Bentley’, the sound system will feature an 1100W amplifier. In the Continental GT, GTC and Flying Spur it will be connected to up to 15 speakers (Azure, Arnage and Brooklands owners will have to make do with 11). The result, says Bentley, is “unparalleled sound quality”. The system features dynamic equalisation, speed-dependant volume control and phone/sat-nav integration too.
The ‘Naim for Bentley’ premium audio sound systems will be available in all Bentley models by the end of 2008.
