Meet the new 'Ring-inspired Astra VXR

05 December 2007

Vauxhall has released a Nürburgring-themed special edition Astra VXR.

Costing £20,995 - £1100 more than the standard 237bhp VXR - the only mechanical difference on the Nürburgring Edition is a Remus sports exhaust, developed by the Vauxhall race team Triple-Eight.

There are lots of styling tweaks thrown in, including unique metallic white paint with chequered flag graphics, carbon fibre wing mirrors and B-pillars, and white 18-inch alloys.

Inside you get carbon fibre detailing, leather trim, and the Nürburgring circuit outline embossed on the seats.

The looks may be an acquired taste, but together with the exhaust upgrade and leather interior, the Nürburgring Edition actually works out cheaper than the standard car.

Perfect for the VXR fan with a yearning to experience the Nordschleife.
