Subaru has launched a Japanese micro-site dedicated to the 2008 Forester, which is due to be revealed for the domestic market on the 23rd December and should arrive in the UK six months later.
And it needs to do well over here, as the Forester has struggled to make an impact on the UK market due to the lack of a diesel engine.
This is all going to change with the new model, as it brings with it the four-cylinder diesel plants that Subaru needs if it is to broaden the brand's target audience and increase sales.
Other significant changes include the exterior, which the micro-site shows has lost its trademark right angles and gained some gentler, more sweeping lines to bring it up to date.
Expect the Forester to be unveiled officially for western markets at the Detroit show in January 2008.
