Hot on the (w)heels of the 1911 Oldsmobile that sold last week for £811,000 comes this, the world's oldest surviving Rolls-Royce.
This 1904 10hp two-seater goes on sale at Bonhams in London on 3 December. That doesn't give you long to start saving, given that it's estimated to sell for over a million pounds, and quite possibly double that sum.
It was built in the year that Rolls-Royce was founded, and is the fourth car the firm made.
Rolls-Royce records confirm delivery of car number 20154 from its Manchester Works in November 1904 to the Paris Salon, where it was exhibited.
The following year, the car was displayed at Olympia in London in February 1905. It had three owners in its first 46 years, and in 1950 was discovered in Yorkshire in "a forlorn state with modified coachwork."
An enthusiast bought and restored the car, and has owned it since. Not only is it the world's oldest surviving Rolls-Royce, but it is the only one that is eligible for the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.
