The Peugeot 207 Station Wagon will go on sale in July starting at just £11,340.

Two trim levels will be available; S and Sport. The S includes curtain airbags, remote central locking, three-point seatbelts for three rear passengers and a panoramic glass roof with electric blind.

Sport trim costs £700 extra and adds 16-inch alloys, sports front seats, leather interior trim and body-coloured bumpers.

Four engines are in the launch line-up, including 1.4 and 1.6-litre petrol units, plus a 1.6-litre oil burner with 90 or 110bhp.

The 1.4-litre car starts at £11,340, with the 1.6-litre S costing £12,575, the HDi 90 £12,945 and the Sport-trim only HDi 110 model £14,365.

An automatic gearbox can be added to the 1.6-litre petrol model for £1000.

The looks may be an acquired taste, but there's no denying that Peugeot's mini load-lugger is cheap and well-equipped. And with its hatchback counterpart selling better than any other car in Europe in May 2007, the SW is almost guaranteed success.
