Remember the Renault Laguna? The French firm’s Mondeo rival might have slipped off the radar recently, but Renault’s hoping to make a bigger impact with the new car, due later this year.

These teaser images are all we’ve been shown so far, but there’s less than a month left until we get to see the whole thing, when the new Laguna is revealed on 4 June.

Renault says that the new Laguna will be in the top three in its class for perceived quality, with special attention paid to the fit and finish in the cabin. It also adds that “the new Laguna has been designed for genuine driving pleasure”.

If the new Laguna combines some of the quirkiness of the ill-fated Avantime with some of the driving agility of the Clio 197, Renault’s on the right track.

If you can’t wait until June 4, check out www.insidenewlaguna.com.
