As predicted, Bentley chief Franz-Josef Paefgen has added Bugatti to his responsibilities, following the departure of current Bugatti boss Thomas Bscher.
Parent company Volkswagen made the announcement yesterday (13 March), responding to rumours that Bscher was to go.
Bscher, who has run Bugatti since December 2003 and was instrumental in sorting out technical problems with the Veyron, is rumoured to have clashed with new VW boss Martin Winterkorn. He will leave Bugatti at the end of March.
Paefgen has already worked for Bugatti, having been in charge of development of the Veyron from 2003 to 2005.
