Colombian pop star Shakira has teamed up with Seat to design a one-off Leon Cupra. The Leon 'Bare Feet' is named after Shakira's own charity, which raises money for deprived children in the pop star's home country, and is to be the main prize in a fundraising competition that started at the weekend along with Shakira's European tour.
The most striking, and arguably most challenging, aspect of Shakira's design is the unique lilac paintwork, which is also present throughout the part-leather interior, appearing across the dashboard and on the gear knob. Other unique design touches include the 'Bare Foot Foundation' symbol on the B-pillar, and polished black 18-inch alloys.
The fundraising was started by a donation of 27,300 Euros from Seat, the equivalent value of the car, and fundraising continues with every competition entry donating £1 minimum. Go to www.catch-the-fever.com for more information.
