Chinese car maker Nanjing Automobile has announced that it is nearly ready to restart production of the MG TF at Longbridge.

There's no firm date yet – a Nanjing spokesman would only confirm that production will restart in spring. It's also a very different type of production from that which ended at Longbridge nearly two years ago. Nanjing has removed most of MG's original machinery to its Chinese factory, meaning that Longbridge will only be responsible for final assembly of right-hand-drive TFs.
