Whatever you think of the Dodge SRT-10 (better known to US fans as the Viper), it's unlikely you thought it was underpowered. But Dodge has just unveiled the new 2008-spec car (even though it’s only just 2007) and it's got an extra 90bhp, taking power up to a whopping 600bhp.
Naturally if you buy one, you'll want everyone to know that you've got the extra power, so Dodge has changed the bonnet, with huge vents along it to help airflow to the 8.4-litre V10 engine. That should stop those traffic-light battles before they start. And if it doesn't, the SRT-10 now hits 60mph in under four seconds, and 100mph in just over 12 seconds.
The new SRT-10 arrives in American showrooms in Summer 2007, but there's no word on UK sales yet.
